Day 1 - Welcome to Scotland
Arrival in Glasgow or Edinburgh, Welcome by your guide and transfer to the Highlands. Overnight stay in the Glencoe/Fort William area.
Day 2 and 3 - In the heart of the Mamores
A classic beloved by Scottish climbers – Ring of Steall – 1,676m of elevation (1 night camping over) with 4 main summits: An Gearanach, Stob Coire a’ Chàirn, Am Bodach and the famous Devils Ridge to Sgùrr a’ Mhàim. Beautiful rocky mountains between Kinlochleven and Fort William. 70% of walking time on the ridges with breathtaking landscapes. Evening and night spent at Fort William. Dine in the pub or restaurant to sample the delights of the sea and Scottish specialities.
Day 4 - Mallaig and Knoydart
1 day spent transferring and exploring the magnificent beaches of Mallaig and Inverie, and Knoydart. Stroll and swim on the fine sandy beaches, ferry to the Knoydart peninsula and hike to our camp.
Day 5 - Knoydart peninsula
The wildest region in Scotland! An incredible blend of sea and mountains. Few walkers venture into this region where nature reigns supreme. Magnificent! The schedule (2 days + 1 night camping) includes the most beautiful peaks of the peninsula: Ladhar Bheinn-the highest peak on the peninsula at 1,399m of elevation. Then Luinnn Bheinn and Meall Buidhe: 1,050m of elevation. Before leaving the peninsula, your evening and night will be spent at the Old Forge in Inverie, the country’s most remote pub, where you will still have the opportunity to enjoy the delights of the sea and sample a well-deserved local beer!
Day 5 and 6 - Glencoe
We are leaving Knoydart today by taking the ferry to Mallaig. We will travel through another magnificent landscape today, which will once again amaze you. The Glencoe Mountains were sculpted by glaciers and volcanic explosions centuries ago. These amazing mountains shaped by ice and fire now form a magnificent landscapes, worthy of the most beautiful postcards. After a quick stop in the shops we will head for our final trek in these beautiful mountains and have one more wild camp. Final night in a B&B in Glencoe and evening in a local pub to celebrate this amazing trek Total ascent over 2 days: 1650m
Day 7 - Return to Glasgow/Edinburgh
Back to civilisation after a drive through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Free afternoon and evening in the city ,and a last opportunity to sample the the best whisky in the world. night out in the city centre.
Day 8 - Return Flight
One last stroll around town, depending on your return flight schedule.
