My wife and I used Adventures Scotland for a 2 week train tour of Scotland. Amy was a pleasure to work with and put together a great itinerary for us. The guest houses she booked us in were all charming and very comfortable! Amy was quick to respond to any questions we had and all together made this a memorable trip! Adventures Scotland (specifically Amy!) was a great assist in planning our trip cycling the entire John Muir Way (4 days) and the 3 days of exploring Linlithgow/Edinburgh in May 2026. She was attentive, informative and quick to respond as we planned the trip. The week before video chat was particularly helpful, reviewing info and tying up any loose end questions we might have. We planned a 7 day West Highland Way self-guided hike followed by 3 nights on Isle of Skye with Adventures Scotland and it was amazing. Amy handled everything efficiently and with care when we had to reschedule due to a health issue. The Inns were all quality places and we had no issues with anything at any of the Inns. The luggage transfer was seamless. We chose Adventures Scotland because they are local to Scotland and really know the area firsthand. Along the way, we learned from BnB owners that they prioritize bookings with companies they trust and they mentioned that Adventures Scotland was a company they highly trust. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our trip to Scotland. The itinerary that Amy scheduled for us was beyond words. From our accommodations to the restaurant recommendations and the site seeing in between, it was amazing. We loved having multiple options per day. The digital roadbook was beyond impressive and filled to the brim with more options than we could have possibly fit into one trip. We did a "your way" trip in July of 2025 and cannot speak highly enough of the process, planning, and execution of the trip! Amy was wonderful to work with. She truly listened to what we wanted and designed a fantastic itinerary, and was patient with our various last minute adjustments. We had two small hiccups during our trip (one our fault and the other a boat tour operator issue) and she was there and available to assist in making alternative arrangements. An absolutely fantastic trip that we would repeat again without hesitation.  Amy was wonderful about helping us design a personalized itinerary based on several of their pre-existing tours.  Car, ferry, accommodations, and restaurant recommendations were great.  Communications leading up to and during the trip were frequent and timely. We had an excellent, active family holiday organised by Adventures Scotland. They arranged a multi-centre tour through the Highlands and Outer Hebrides, taking care of  accommodation, ferries and some activities while leaving us some flexibility and choices in the schedule. We felt well looked after without feeling at the mercy of a spreadsheet. The kids enjoyed hikes, castles, zip wires, kayaks and beaches in one holiday.

I, and seven of my hiking friends had a great experience with Adventures Scotland. The trip was truly customized to our abilities and desires. The accommodations and restaurants that were recommended were excellent. The guide (Nick) was instrumental in making this the trip of a lifetime. Amy asked us the general areas that we were interested in exploring and what we wanted to do during our vacation (for us that meant hiking some trails) and she put together an amazing itinerary for us. We would not have been able to come up with anything close to the beautiful routes she took us on, showcasing the beautiful scenery of the country & taking us through so many different areas and towns and off the beaten path spots. She took car of the car rental & found amazing accommodations at rates I’m sure we would not have gotten anywhere close to on our own. And, provided lists of suggested hikes (with an interactive app), restaurant options, and other interesting items of note (towns to explore, historical areas, castles, etc.) for each day.  Before our trip she sent us a digital guide book (68 pages) with all the info for us to review and set up a Zoom call to go over all the info. We plan on returning back to Scotland and will definitely rely on Amy and Adventure-Scotland to help plan our next trip.
