Flight to Glasgow. Transfer to Ullapool on the West Coast in the beautiful Wester Ross area and then arrival at our B&B.

Today, we’ll take the ferry for a magnificent crossing to Stornoway, the capital of the Isle of Lewis. In the afternoon, we’ll leave for Harris to discover one of the isle’s sublime beaches that have made it famous. Next, arrival at the B&B.

Today, we’ll set out for the mountains of the Isle of Harris which are known for their wild beauty but also for the largest eagle reserve in Europe. The ascent of the highest peak in the Outer Hebrides awaits us. From the top, we’ll have a breathtaking view of the many islands, the Harris mountain range and the surrounding beaches.

We’ll discover the western part of the Isle of Lewis and its unique landscapes: white sandy beaches, small charming bays, forgotten hamlets, bare plateaus. We’ll drive along the west coast in an atmosphere of total serenity between Black House village and Scotland’s most famous stone circle, Callanish, which we will definitely visit. We will also visit the village to discover how the inhabitants lived in the past in the “black houses”. We will then stop in Tarbert where the famous Harris Tweed can be bought.

We’ll take the ferry to the Isle of Skye and discover the Trotternish peninsula. We will go on a short but splendid hike to admire the emblem of Skye: The Old Man of Storr. Splendid rocky basalt peaks that are 48 meters high. We will then discover the village of Portree before settling in a B&B and tasting the island’s culinary specialties.

Off to the south of the island with about a 30-minute transfer to reach the Cuillins mountain range. We’ll take on the easiest part of the range “the red cuillins”, a striking mountain atmosphere where the red rocky mountains are sometimes deliciously illuminated with a delicate soft light. We will have a breathtaking view of the steep gabbro peaks of the “Black Cuillins”. Overnight stay in Portree or nearby.

We will start in the north of Skye and head to the Quiraings in the north of the Trotternish Peninsula (340m), a fabulous mountain with often striking contrasts of light. Many filmmakers have been seduced by the scenery of this spectacle forged by lava. Afterwards in the afternoon, we’ll take the ferry to the isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Accommodation for 4 nights in a house of great comfort.

Departure for a hike to the island’s highest peak, Eaval, to enjoy another wide panorama of the whole archipelago in good weather. This hike reveals the incredible harmony between sea and land and allows you to appreciate the countless lochs and lochans in this part of the Hebrides.

To the north of North Uist is a small hidden gem, the Isle of Berneray. Indeed, this island is very often forgotten by visitors and wrongly so. It is a place of incomparable serenity and an ideal place to observe seals. We will go for a nice loop without any difficulty to discover this island, its hills and beautiful beaches. Then, we’ll head further south towards the Isle of South Uist.

The highest peak on the island awaits us. After a rather wet start in the moors, a real mountain atmosphere awaits us. This hike will allow us to appreciate the wild side of the Hebrides and nature untouched by man. At 620 metres high and because the neighbouring islands are much flatter, Beinn Mhor is a fantastic vantage point.

Short passage through the Isle of Eriskay, known from the film Whisky Galore, which is about the famous sinking of the SS Politician cargo ship in 1941, which was full of whisky. Afterwards, ferry crossing to the Isle of Barra, which has the only airport in the region with a sandy airstrip on the beach, which is only usable at low tide. We will go for a short hike in the green hills of Barra to admire the panoramic view of the bay.

We will discover the small Isle of Vatersay where otters are often seen playing on the shores. On the way back, we can also admire other sublime beaches on the island’s west coast! Last night in the Hebrides before returning to dry land.

The most beautiful ferry crossing in Scotland! Keep your eyes open to watch the great skuas hunting, seals on the rocks, jumping dolphins and sometimes minke whales following the boat.
