Day 1 - Edinburgh
Flight to Edinburgh. Hand over your little jewel, your Aston Martin and off you go on your Scottish spy adventure. You start with a visit to the small Bo’Ness car museum, whose founder is a big James Bond fan, where you can admire some magnificent Aston Martins and other upper models. Then drive to the Speyside area, a beautiful area near the Cairngorms Park known for salmon fishing and its famous whiskys.
Day 2 - Macallan distillery
Discover some of the beautiful villages of the Speyside and take a nature walk to get some fresh air along the Spey river to stretch your legs before visiting the famous Macallan distillery and taste James Bond’s favourite whisky.
Day 3 - Inverness
Today you take the beautiful road west through Inverness and Loch Ness where you will have the opportunity to visit Urqhuart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness. The main attraction of the day is Eilean Donan Castle, the Scottish headquarters of MI6 in “The World Is Not Enough”. You then drive to Glencoe and settle into your accommodation.
Day 4 - Glen Coe and Isle of Mull
Today you will recognize the sets of Skyfall where James Bond grew up. A short drive in the footsteps of the agent in the heart of these two superb valleys Glencoe and Glen Etive where you will take a pleasure to think you are James Bond and admire the scenery. Road to Oban to take the ferry to Mulll Island and installation for 2 nights on the island.
Day 5 - Duart castle
Although it does not appear in the Bond franchise directly, Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull was the home of Fitzroy Hew MacLean, the World War II hero who would have been one of the main inspirations for the Bond character himself. You can sip a beer in Tobermory. With its good restaurants and pubs, this small fishing harbour is a great place to visit.
Day 6 - Loch Craignish - Gare Loch - Inveraray
Today, you leave the Isle of Mull and take the beautiful coastal road to Loch Craignish. In “Good Kisses from Russia”, James Bond and the beautiful Russian agent Tatiana Romanova are chased by the sinister Spectre agents in a speedboat in Turkey. Due to filming difficulties, the last boat chase scene was actually shot on Loch CraigInish, near Crinan, Argyll. Then , you take the road in your Aston Martin to Loch Station. In “The Spy Who Loved Me”, Her Majesty’s Naval Base, located on the east coast of Loch Station in the Argyll, is the setting for a key moment in the film.
Day 7 - Inveraray - Edinburgh
Drive to Edinburgh and afternoon in the capital, birthplace of Sean Connery who inspired through his performances as an actor Ian Flemming, the creator of James Bond (who later gave Bond a Scottish heritage). Discovery of the old town and a last opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the best pubs in the world, and to taste Agent 007’s cocktail, Vodka Martini, without forgetting of course to specify: “shaken not sirred” ?
Day 8 - Return flight and end of your adventure
This is the end of your Scottish adventure. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
