Departure by plane to Inverness. Arrival at the airport and travel to the centre of Inverness for the beginning of your adventure. Depending on your arrival time, after settling into your Bed & Breakfast, we suggest that you stretch your legs with a walk along the River Ness and the Caledonian Canal. You can also take the opportunity to visit the Culloden Museum or the Uile-bheist distillery. You will be immediately immersed in Scottish history, and this is just the beginning!

Today marks the beginning of your cruise on the Caledonian Canal! The day begins with the introduction to your cosy cocoon: your boat. Then, you head for Drumnadrochit on the canal where you can settle down for the night. A training session on the boat is scheduled to familiarise you with your little house on the water. Your boat will no longer hold any secrets for you! We recommend a visit to Urquhart Castle with its view of Loch Ness.

Today, cast off, your boat will take you to Loch Oich. Not far from Drumnadrochit, we recommend a two-hour hike from Foyers. This spectacular walk takes you into a gorge where the final highlight will be a beautiful waterfall. During the day you will pass Fort Augustus, Kytra Lock and Cullochy Lock. At the end of the day you will have the opportunity to visit the ruins of Invergarry Castle.

Today, you’ll be living at the rhythm of the water as you navigate to the final destination of the canal, Banavie, just before Fort William. This hike allows you to discover the banks of the Caledonian Canal built by Thomas Telford. The trail takes you to the seaside at Loch Linnhe and to the famous “Neptune’s Staircase”. This is a great place to relax! There are many cycle paths. You can rent a bike and explore the surrounding trails.

Today takes you into a completely different atmosphere, as you leave the boat for the mountains! Several options are available according to your mood. The day’s hiking program is one of the classic “mainland” programs for Scottish hikers. You can set off on a day hike to conquer Ben Nevis or go on a walk that takes you to the foot of the highest cliffs in the country, the north face of Ben Nevis! Otherwise, closer to Fort William, you also have the possibility of other short hikes and wonderful excursions.

Today is going to be a busy day! You will sail from Gairlochy to Fort Augustus where you will stop for the night. Fort Augustus is a very pretty village located at the southernmost tip of Loch Ness, on the Great Glen Way. It is a popular tourist destination with spectacular views of Loch Ness.

Today you will be leaving for half a day of sailing and then hiking from Drumnadrochit. This hike takes you to the top of Craig Mony where you will enjoy stunning views of Loch Ness and Drumnadrochit. Then you’ll pass by the incredible Divach Falls.

Return to the pontoon of the boat rental agency to be ready to return the boat the next day at 8:30 am. In the afternoon, take the opportunity to stroll around Inverness or to do one of the visits suggested on your arrival day that you didn’t have time to do.

This is the end of your Scottish adventure. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
