Today, you will discover the Black Cuillins, these mountains owe their coal-black colour to gabbro, a very abrasive rock. You will go from the dark Black Cuillins to the deep green of the north of the Isle of Skye. Several campsites are available tonight and the following night, or you can park your van on sublime sites such as those between Ben Nevis and the Mamores, at Glen Etive on the banks of the Etive River or near the Ben Nevis Inn pub if you want to sip a beer before the hike on Ben Nevis the next day!

The hiker in you will be overjoyed by this new day of uphill hiking. Two new paths are open to you today, and they are not among the least! The first is nothing less than the highest peak in the British Isles. Many amateur hikers go there every year to measure themselves against Ben Nevis.

Today it’s time to return your van and take a taxi to beautiful Edinburgh. Its mysterious atmosphere envelops the whole city centre. A pleasant stroll through the narrow streets will reveal many points of interest, such as the famous Castle.
