Nicknamed “Miniature Scotland”, we will explore this beautiful island through superb walks in the northern mountains, while discovering the many stone circles dating back to the Neolithic period and the wide variety of locally produced delicacies. The island is split in half by the Highlands geological fault that separates the highlands from the lowlands. The north of the island is very mountainous and the south is much more hilly, just like the lowlands of Scotland. The wildlife is particularly rich. The island is home to herds of deer, and seals and otters. Birds include pheasants, golden eagles and over a hundred other species.
